The Church has excellent facilities available for hire. These are well-used by clubs and societies for a range of activities, including fitness and well-being groups, Rainbows, choirs, Women’s Institute, Gardening Club, a Forget-Me-Not cafe run under the auspices of Hethersett Dementia Group, and birthday parties.
There are three rooms available for hire, and we are situated in the centre of Hethersett, with bus stops for Norwich and Wymondham outside the front entrance. The church has its own car park for around 25 cars. Our kitchen facilities include an instant hot water heater for drinks, double oven, gas hob and hot cupboard. Users of all rooms may have access to these facilities if they are not already in use by another group. This is included in our hiring charges.
All rooms also have centrally heated radiators which are computer controlled. There are toilets including a disabled toilet with an alarm. Charitable organisations can have a discounted hiring rate, as do regular hirers. Main Hall
A large hall 40ft x 24ft (12m x 7m) with a kitchen connected by a hatch. It is currently hired on a regular basis by various organisations ranging from Rainbows to the Forget Me Not Cafe run by Hethersett Dementia Support. It can accommodate up to 100 people, depending on the activity, and there are chairs and tables of various shapes and sizes available for use. The current hire charges are £21 per hour, or £53 for three hours.
Upper Room
A medium sized carpeted room 32ft x 18ft (10m x 5.5m) which can be divided into two almost-square rooms by a folding room divider. There is a walk-in cupboard, with a sink and a kettle to make drinks. It can accommodate up to 35 people, depending on the activity, and there are tables and chairs for use. Since it is carpeted, it is ideal for activities with small children, but is also just as suitable for holding meetings. The current hire charges are £14.50 per hour, or £36.50 for three hours.
General Purposes Room
A small carpeted room 15ft x 14ft (4.5m x 4m) at the back of the church, but separated by a folding room divider. It is ideal for small meetings, and can seat up to 15 people along with a chairman’s table. The current hire charges are £12.50 per hour, or £30 for three hours.
