Room Hire
Hethersett Methodist Church is situated in the centre of Hethersett with bus stops for Norwich and Wymondham outside the front entrance. It has its own car park for around 25 cars. There are three rooms available for hire as follows:
Main Hall
A large hall 40ft x 24ft (12m x 7m) with a kitchen connected by a hatch. It is currently hired on a regular basis by various organisations ranging from baby clinic to Pensioner’s Association meetings. It can accommodate up to 100 people, depending on the activity, and as well as chairs there are tables of various sizes and shapes available for use. The current hire charges are £10 per hour or £26 for a 3 hour session.
Upper Room
A medium sized carpeted room 32ft x 18ft (10m x 5.5m) which can be divided into two almost square rooms by a folding room divider. There is a walk-in cupboard with a sink and kettle to make drinks. It can accommodate up to 35 people, depending on the activity, and there are tables and chairs for use. With the carpet, it is ideal for activities with small children but just as suitable for holding meetings. The current hire charges are £7.50 per hour or £20 for a 3 hour session.
General Purposes Room
A small carpeted room 15ft x 14ft (4.5m x 4m) at the back of the church but separated by a folding room divider. It is ideal for small meetings and can seat up to 15 people and a chairman’s table. The current hire charges are £6.50 per hour or £17 for 3 hours.
All rooms have centrally heated radiators which are computer controlled. Hirers of the Upper room and General Purposes room can use the kitchen facilities if required and not already in use. There are toilets including a disabled toilet with an alarm. Charitable organisations can have a discounted hiring rate, as do regular hirers.
