Women’s World Day of Prayer

Over 3 million people worldwide will be praying and worshipping together during an annual day of prayer.

They will be using an order of service prepared by Christian women the Cameroon.

Emma Wilcock, the National President, said:

’This is always an exciting day as a great wave of prayer sweeps the world. The extent of unity is shown by the fact that meetings will begin at sunrise in Tonga and finish only, some 35 hours later, with sunset in neighbouring Western Samoa, after there have been meetings in over 170 countries.’

In the British Isles there will be well over 5000 prayer services in different places, bringing together women, men & young people from every background & a very wide range of Christian traditions.

Our service in Hethersett will be at St Remigius on Saturday, 6th March 2010, starting at 10.00am, followed by refreshments.

This is a departure from the usual Friday afternoon to allow those who work to attend. All are welcome.
